A delightful east coast friend of mine, Carol Specht Polakowski, photographed these beautiful mums while at Claussen’s Florist & Greenhouse in Colchester, VT. Even though William Shakespeare introduced us to the phrase “mum’s the word” as a way to tell us to be quiet…there is nothing quiet about this colorful mums.

I love all the vibrantly warm autumnal colors on these mums. It fascinates me how all the individual round flowers (each a mandala in their own right) within their own pot, form one large round mandala of puffy, fuzzy color. If we allow it, being in their delicious presence can open our hearts to connect us to our own inner joy.

Regardless of where we live on this planet, let’s create an opportunity to be out in nature to witness all the different colors that surround us. What colors do you see?

Happy Coloring!

If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
