Today’s MotD radiates with all kinds of life, color and nature…and mostly all in varying colors and sizes of mandala forms…from the plants themselves and the pots in which they reside to the bowl of grapes, figs, and berries.
From her November 12 post entitled “Create Your Therapy” on her The Wholesome Bowl blog site, Amalia Bussard, put together this beautiful array of greenery, cacti, succulents and live food…a delightful feast for the eye.
As part of her post she states:
Do you ever have “one of those days”, where you just can’t seem to shake the overall feeling of sadness? Sometimes there is a reason for why we’re feeling blue, sometimes there is absolutely no reason at all. Either way, it’s okay. …Sometimes all it takes to make yourself feel better is either a perspective change, or the simple act of doing something you love. For me, it’s both.
As part of her “perspective change” she writes out 5 things in her life for which she is grateful. One of the five is her plants. “They teach me to stand tall, turn my face to the sun, and never stop growing.” And taking care of her plants provides the “doing something you love.”
About her plants she states:
My plant collection is now filled with nearly 50 plants, all different varieties, from succulents, to various herbs, to ginger and turmeric, scattered perfectly throughout my little apartment. These plants bring me comfort and make me happy. This is my therapy, nurturing life as it nurtures me.
For me, one the things I’m grateful for is my delightful collection of art supplies…and I love playing with them…it makes my heart sing.
