This week’s MotD theme: Here Comes the Sun

Canadian photographer, Jeremie Andrew shot this beautiful photograph of this masterpiece of a stained-glass ceiling in the Palau de la Música Catalana. Located in Barcelona, Spain and built in the early 1900’s, this stunning expression of the sun completes this extraordinarily ornate concert hall.

I love all the vibrant warm colors and detailed symmetrical patterns in the center that radiate outward to cooler, less symmetrical patterns including the repeated face of a beautiful woman. I’m afraid that if I were to attend a concert here, I would spend more time staring at the ceiling than watching the performance on stage.

Inspiration for Today

Jeremie’s photo of this beautiful stained glass ceiling gives us a different perspective on the phrase “the devil is in the details.” Instead of glossing over the details and wanting to rush through a task, take the time to experience the beauty in the details.

Happy Coloring!
