This week’s MotD theme: Time After Time
Look at the artistry and craftsmanship that make up the inner workings of this mid-1800’s Swiss pocket watch from the National Watch and Clock Museum, in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania.
It amazes me that someone took the time and effort to create such beautiful engravings for something that would be rarely seen. And look at all the mandala shapes within the watch’s mechanism as well as the shape of the watch itself.
In contrast, notice the delicate, yet plain, simplicity of its face. Looking at this, one would hardly guess that such beauty hides beneath it.

Inspiration for Today
As we go about our day, notice how often we take things, and more importantly people, at their face value without going deeper to see the beauty beneath the surface.
And at the same TIME, how often do we hide our beauty, our creativity, our true selves behind a false persona in an effort to protect ourselves from some misguided fear or pretense.
Happy Coloring!
If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
