This week’s MotD theme: Blue
My absolute favorite blue thing to experience on this beautiful pale blue dot we call Earth: eating fresh blueberries. And these fantastic beauties exemplify our blue theme this week. While the colander and the blueberries themselves form the mandala shape, check out the tops/bottoms of the blueberries: a simple round circle or a little five-pointed mandala!
Here in Willamette Valley Oregon we produce some of the most delicious varieties of these blue confections. The great state of Connecticut, where I grew up, also gave me the pleasure of enjoying Mother Nature’s finest blue fruit.
Today’s image comes from Cup4Cup.com where co-founders Chef Lena Kwak and Chef Thomas Keller posted a wonderful recipe entitled “How to make the best gluten-free blueberry muffins.” I love their mission statement:
The mission of Cup4Cup is a simple one – to combine the best performance, texture and taste for great-tasting, easy-to-use products for the gluten-free community and their family and friends. We are committed to growing and changing along with our customers so that your needs are always met and your expectations exceeded. We hope that our commitment to superior quality enables our customers to create an environment where the people they love can come together around the table to share one of life’s greatest pleasures: fantastic food. …
Inspiration for Today
Cup4Cup’s blueberries and their mission statement encourage us to strive to be our finest version of ourselves…in all that we are and in all the we do.
If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
