This week’s MotD theme: Golden Yellow
Modern abstract artist, Amber Elizabeth Lamoreaux, created this impasto styled still life painting of this delightful bouquet of 3-dimensional flowers. I love how her flowers just jump off the canvas, as if reaching out to touch us in some way. I suspect wherever this paining resides, it brightens up the space regardless of the time of day or year.
About her art she states:
I am inspired by nature and the emotions love and joy and this is reflected in my art. I live to be outside in nature or in my sunroom studio painting with the windows open as I crave the way being in nature makes me feel (we all crave nature to some extent I think). I love working with texture and palette knives.

Inspiration for Today
In her post about this painting she states that yellow flowers are symbols of friendship, new beginnings, and happiness. As we go about our day today, let us be inspired by Amber’s bouquet to acknowledge friendships, start something new, and, above all, choose to be happy.
Happy Coloring!
