This week’s MotD theme: Tis the Season for Strawberries
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Tis the Season for Strawberries (from Sunday’s MotD post). Rarely do I go with reality when painting mandalas however with this one I saw, plain as day, in my mind’s eye that they wanted to be painted in their true form as strawberries. At the same time I also saw (and painted) them as hearts, being the sweethearts that they are.
All week I’ve been showcasing strawberries transformed into other things: ornaments, santas, christmas trees, and reindeer. Today, we see them as the delightful fruit that they are: strawberries.
I used watercolors, lavender copic marker, and a sakura yellow gel pen.
Inspiration for Today
Regardless of what labels or “costumes” we place upon ourselves (positive or negative), in truth we are as the strawberry: delightful, sweet-heart beings.
