This week’s MotD theme: Tis the Season for Peace

To celebrate 100 days of peace (no students sent to the office, no arguments, no conflicts), the students and faculty of Kyrene de las Brisas Elementary School in Chandler, AZ paraded around the school and then formed this colorful peace symbol as captured by WranglerNews.com.

From the school’s About page:

PEACE is the watchword of our school behavior management plan as well as the acronym for our Core Values:

Pride – We show pride in our school, pride in each other, and pride in our work.
Effort – We make the effort that is essential to learning and success.
Achievement – We strive to reach higher so we can achieve more.
Character – We believe in being the kind of person who will be a credit to society.
Excellence – We reflect an ethic of excellence in teaching and learning.

Inspiration for Today

Using Kyrene’s PEACE acronym, we can modify it to work for us as well:

Pride: be proud of who and what we are and what we do
Effort: go the extra mile
Achievement: strive to expand and grow
Character: serve the greater good of all including ourselves
Excellence: strive to improve upon our best efforts

Happy Coloring!
