This Week’s Theme: Cakes
Foodie Tina Dawson, of Love Is In My Tummy, made this rather unique (and transparent) version of mochi (Japanese rice cake) called Mizo Shingen Mochi. Along with providing the recipe with us, she also shares her trials and tribulations with getting it just right and then offers helpful tips on how to minimize our “trials” in making it for ourselves.
What a beautiful and amazing “mandala” of food art. By the way, “…it comes with it’s own self-destruct mechanism. If it’s not eaten in 30 minutes, you don’t get to eat it at all!”
About Tina:
After spending almost a decade in the world of Information Technology, I decided to give life a chance by doing something I love. And to me, that’s food. Now, I spend every waking minute happily scouring the world for delicious things. Everything you see here, I create from my home in Atlanta where I live with my husband who also happens to be the official taste-checker and my go-to tech guy.
Inspiration for Today
“There is no passion to be found playing small – in settling for a life that is less than the one you are capable of living.”
— Nelson Mandela
Happy Coloring!
