This Week’s Theme: Zen
From Jean Van’t Hul of The Artful Parent comes this easy DIY zen rock garden sand tray for people of ANY age. I love the delightful simplicity of this garden and at the same time it offers all the meditative benefits of a full-blown, store-bought kit.
About her zen garden she states:
I’ve had the idea to create a mini zen rock garden for a while now—you know, the kind where you rake the sand into patterns around strategically placed rocks?
For rocks, though, I wanted to use melted crayon rocks for a pop of color—shiny, colorful treasures amidst the sand.
About herself she states:
I live with my family in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina. I am passionate about children’s art and creativity and want to share that passion with you. …I share ideas, information, and inspiration to encourage you to enjoy and share art with the kids in your life (whether in your home or your classroom).
