My coloring progress for today:

Today I began phase 2 of “My Journey” mandala. Just as I intuitively (randomly) chose different color markers for each of this mandala’s sections prior to this, I also intuitively (randomly) chose different gel pens to add some “details” (patterns, symbols, scribbles) to the sections selected for coloring for today.
With each gel pen pick, I drew into the section that which felt like it wanted to be there. For some sections I used similar patterns. For these sections, it felt as if it represented the same story yet from a different perspective. Kind of like what we experience in life. We unconsciously keep repeating patterns in different scenarios. Because the stories are different, it makes it difficult to spot the pattern.
Until we really look at our stories, we continue to miss these patterns, leaving us to wonder why certain things keep happening even though it appears to be different. That’s the fun of doing doodle mandalas as a creative way to connect with our Inner world, it allows us to see our stories from our subconscious’s perspective.
btw…the section with the facial features had been calling me for a couple of days. When I arrived at that section today, I knew exactly what to do. Eager to see what presents itself in the remaining sections.
Read about my Doodle Mandala Process via this week’s Mandala of the Week #29.
About the Mandalas of the Day:
I post a variety of in-progress art for that day which can include mandalas from the Mandala of the Week, the Mandala of the Month, the Mandala of the Year, or the Mandala Meditation Stones.
Happy Coloring!
