Instead of painting a mandala today, I painted the Majestic Theatre exhibit walls with mandalas…my mandalas:

Today I spent 3.5 hours “painting” the walls with my art. It was tiring and exhilarating at the same time. For the month of August my mandala art is being exhibited at the Majestic Theatre. The artwork collection, spanning 17 years, showcases a variety of styles and sizes of mandalas, in a variety of media. Most of the paintings are available for sale. I call the exhibit: The Circles of Life.
At different times throughout the month, during their regular weekday business hours, I’ll be there to continue painting the large Tibetan mandala entitled: Archangel #1 (image #3).
The collection ranges in size from 4′ x 4′ to 7″ x 7″. The mandala styles represented include: symmetry, asymmetry, hyperbolic tessellation, happenings art, and tibetan. The media used includes color pencils, markers, watercolors, pen & ink, acrylics, and/or mixed media.
On Thursday, August 17, the exhibit is a designated stop of the Corvallis Art Walk from 4 – 8 pm. I’ll be there demonstrating some of my art as well as showcasing my Mandala Meditations Stones and Mandala coloring books.
About the Mandalas of the Day:
I post a variety of in-progress art for that day which can include mandalas from the Mandala of the Week, the Mandala of the Month, the Mandala of the Year, or the Mandala Meditation Stones.
Happy Coloring!
joyfully, Maureen
