2017-327: The Astrological Sign of Scorpio – Day 1

Today I started on the eighth sign of the Astrological Wheel: Scorpio – The Scorpion.

In 2012 I created a hyperbolic tessellation mandala for each of the zodiac signs. For Scorpio, its symbol is represented as a scorpion and its stinger (m + a tail).

In true Scorpio form, I felt a strong pull to dive into the background with a deep, rich purple color. Doing that, brings more attention to the Scorpio symbol in the foreground while its investigative energy crawls through the deep dark recesses of the background. She’s seeking the truth behind the scenes, knowing that she will steadily continue her quest until she finds it.
