Today’s Mandala
Layers
“A grownup is a child with layers on.”
— Woody Harrelson
“It’s our challenges and obstacles
— Ellen DeGeneres
that give us layers of depth
and make us interesting.
Are they fun when they happen?
No. But they are what make us unique.
And that’s what I know for sure… I think.”
“One’s attention has to penetrate
— Deepak Chopra
the chaotic activity,
pass through all the layers
of subtle thought,
and at last emerge into silence.
This is the basic process of transcending.”
Today’s MotD represents how our lives are built: by adding layer upon layer of experiences and newly formed beliefs based on these experiences. Our job is to explore the depths of our layers in an effort to establish a solid connection with our True Center, with who we really are and what we are all about. For each of us, how we get there and what it takes to get there will be different. Regardless, best to start digging…the sooner the better.
”Childhood
— last line from the movie ”Hope Floats”
is what you spend
the rest of your life
trying to overcome.”
