Today’s Mandala
Strength
“Strength does not come from
— Mahatma Gandhi
physical capacity.
It comes from
an indomitable will.”
“Character cannot be developed
— Helen Keller
in ease and quiet.
Only through experience of trial
and suffering can the soul
be strengthened, ambition inspired,
and success achieved.”
“I think scars are like battle wounds –
— Demi Lovato
beautiful, in a way.
They show what you’ve been through
and how strong you are
for coming out of it.”
Today’s MotD reminds us that even in our weakest moments we all have access to our Divine Inner Strength, the Power in us that helps us to get up one more, to try yet again. Sometimes the greatest expression of our strength is letting go of that which no longer serves us, yet gives us a false sense of comfort because it is the familiar.
Take a moment today to review those times in our lives where we had the strength to let go, or to move forward, or to even leap forward. And even if by all appearances it may seem like we failed at times, in reality we gained the insight and strength to pick ourselves up, dust ourselves off, and go forward while seeking answers to the questions: ”how can I go about this differently next time?” and ”how can I use this experience to help myself and others?”
“A mind at peace, a mind centered
— Wayne Dyer
and not focused on harming others,
is stronger than any physical force
in the universe.”
