23-013 Purpose #6

Continuing with Principle #2 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Be clear why you are here”, I set the intention to rethink my mission/life purpose statement; to come at it from a different “angle”. After all, we’re currently going through a Mercury Retrograde…perfect time to “re-“ anything.

Today I went inward to hear what my intuition had to offer. As soon as I connected, I immediately heard “you’re purpose is to have fun.” A few seconds later it added: “…and to teach others to have fun.” Okay, here I am having fun with white ink on black paper. Except for the initial outer circle, I free-hand drew it all out. (If you’re on IG your can view the time-lapsed videos I took of my coloring… @themandalalady).

I like this new purpose statement. Growing up as the oldest of four siblings, having fun was allowed in dribs and drabs, and usually guarded. We were raised in a strict environment, which is fine but without an equal balance of fun and joy it made for a mostly serious childhood. It’s time I allow myself more fun and more playtime. It also begs the question: How can I make whatever I’m doing —fun—. So I played while coloring this version of the mandala. BTW…I used a White Sakura Gelly Roll 05 pen for the thinner white lines and a Uni-ball Signo UM-153 pen for the wider white lines… all on black cardstock paper.

So how about you? If you were to just be by yourself, quiet and centered and asked for inner guidance about your purpose, what would you hear or sense? Would it be different than what you thought it would be?

 is intelligence
having fun.”

An Invitation

I invite you to color along with me this year as part of what I’m calling “The Year of Self-Exploration and Expansion” with all of my “Mandalas of the ___” (day, weekmonthyear).
