Continuing with Principle #4 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Believe it’s Possible”, I set the intention today to do something I rarely do…color with different shades of brown. I tend to go with bright, vibrant colors (hello…did you see yesterday’s MotD?). So today my intention was to “believe it’s possible” to make a beautiful, or at the very least, interesting coloring of this week’s MotW with only browns.
I chose to color it in the same coloring pattern as I did for Possible – #2. I have to admit, it came out pretty cool…actually warm. It has a strong, grounded feel to it; it feels substantial, as if it was made of leather. I feel confident that I can call today’s intention a success! While I’ll still tend toward more colorful colorings, it’s good to know that brown is a reliable and viable color.

So how about you? Is there something you ignore or put off because it’s not your usual or favorite? Try it once. You may be surprised by the result.
“The color brown,
— Barbara Kingsolver
I realized, is anything
but nondescript.
It comes in as many hues
as there are colors of earth,
which is commonly presumed infinite.”
An Invitation
I invite you to color along with me this year as part of what I’m calling “The Year of Self-Exploration and Expansion” with all of my “Mandalas of the ___” (day, week, month, year). If you’re interested in more of a self-exploration approach to coloring, check out my “Coloring Mandalas as Meditation”. You can download this mandala to color at MandalaoftheWeek.com.
