Continuing with Principle #5 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Believe in Yourself”, I set the intention today to ponder my expectations when I take action on something. I’ve come to realize that when I set an intention of what I’m about to do, I find it much easier to let go of the outcome. I’ll have an idea of how it might turn out, and yet, I trust that it will come out just the way it needs to turn out.
For instance with today’s coloring, I saw in my mind’s eye, in advance, the image of leaf-less trees. That’s all I had to start with. I set the intention to receive any insight or guidance as to the coloring of this mandala. It’s while I was coloring that I then saw the “diamond” spirals, and then the idea for the center came next, and finally the moon phases. Once I did all that, I just knew it was done. Part of me wanted to add more “stuff” to it however intuitively I knew to stop.
So how about you? Do you set an intention before embarking on a project, task, or some other endeavor? Do you have a sense in advance of what you want to do? Do you trust that it will turn out just fine…even if it goes in a completely different direction?

An Invitation
I invite you to color along with me this year as part of what I’m calling “The Year of Self-Exploration and Expansion” with all of my “Mandalas of the ___” (day, week, month, year). If you’re interested in more of a self-exploration approach to coloring, check out my “Coloring Mandalas as Meditation”. You can download this mandala to color at MandalaoftheWeek.com.
