23-051 Manageable #2

Continuing with Principle #8 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Clunk it Down”, I set my intention to ponder the idea of mind mapping, of which Canfield states: “It lets you determine what information you’ll need to gather, who you’ll need to talk to, what small steps you’ll need to take, how much money you’ll need to earn or raise, which deadlines you’ll need to meet, and so on—for each and every goal.

It sounds daunting and yet I have found it to be an excellent tool for brainstorming and/or brain dumping. It let’s me plot down all my thoughts while sorting them into their appropriate grouping. So that instead of them (my thoughts) roaming all over the place in my head, I can release them onto the page. I find it makes an overwhelming goal seem more manageable.

Later today, I plan to mind map at least two of my goals. We’ll see how that goes.

So how about you? Have you ever tried mind mapping? Are you open to doing it? If you’ve done it before, has it helped?

“Mind mapping is a technique
based on memory and creativity
and comprehension and understanding,
so when the student or a child
uses the mind map,
they are using their brain
in the way their brain
was designed to be used,
and so the mind helps them
in all learning and cognitive skills.
It simply helps them
in what the brain does
naturally.”
