23-088 Do It Anyway #4

Today’s Mandala Message: Now Imagine the Positive Opposite

This week I’m combining Principles #14 and #15 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Lean Into It” and “Experience the Fear and Take Action Anyway”. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of imagining a positive outcome. Canfield states: “One way to actually disappear your fear is to ask yourself what you’re imagining that is scary to you, and then replace that image with its positive opposite.

From an early age I was taught that you had to be realistic…which usually meant expect a negative outcome. My dad often said “don’t expect anything and you’ll never be disappointed” and yet he still managed to be disappointed. So most of my life and even today, I have lived a fear and worry based life. Thinking about this now, makes me sad because the “reality” is that when I look back on my life, a had way more positive outcomes than negative…and most of the negative turned out to be positive.

I’ve come to realize that I can set an intention for a positive outcome and if it turns out differently, I’m learning that something better is coming and that more than like it was in my best interest to turn out the way it did.

So how about you? What would the opposite of your fear(s) look like? Can you imagine it? Can you imagine something better?

“Don’t be pushed around
by the fears in your mind.
Be led by the dreams
in your heart.”
