23-103 Just Ask #5

Today’s Mandala Message: Just Say “Next!”

This week I’m working through Principles #17 and #18 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Ask! Ask! Ask!” and “Reject Rejection” respectively. I set my intention today to ponder the idea of saying “next!” when rejected. Canfield states: “get used to the idea that there is going to be a lot of rejection along the way to the gold ring. The secret to success is to not give up. When someone says no, you say, “Next!” Keep on asking.

Recently I submitted a proposal for our local art center using all 365 Mandalas of the Day from 2022. It was rejected. Intellectually, I knew it was more about other people were selected and a bunch of us were not. So my “next” ask was to a local downtown shoe store with a highly visible display window dedicated to different artists each month. I applied and was accepted for the month of October, which is an excellent month since many people come to town (especially downtown) as part of college football weekend trips.

Canfield further adds, “Someone, somewhere, sometime will say yes. Don’t get stuck in your fear or resentment. Move on to the next person. It is a numbers game. Someone is waiting to say yes.”

So how about you? Do you stop at the first “no”? With the next rejection, are you willing to go for your next “Next!”?

is a given.
Getting up and moving forward
is a choice!”
