23-219 Core Genius #2

Today’s Mandala Message: Do What You Do Best

This week I’m working through Principle #39 from Jack Canfield’s “The Success Principles” entitled “Stay Focused on Your Core Genius”. I set my intention today to ponder doing what I do best…delegate the rest. Canfield states: “…most entrepreneurs spend less than 30% of their time focusing on their core genius and unique abilities. In fact, by the time they’ve launched a business, it often seems entrepreneurs are doing everything BUT the one thing they went into business for in the first place.

Right now I’m prepping for a full length window display in October in a well-trafficked area of our busy downtown. I’m learning to make use of other resources to help  me. I have an idea of how I want it to look but my area of expertise does not extend to how to make it happen. With having a limited budget, I’m asking my husband to help with the display structure, a local artist, friend, and gallery curator gave me ideas on how to display my art, and a dear friend (a successful entrepreneur) is helping me with my overall messaging. All of this gives me more time to spend on the tasks that are best for me to do.

A good mindfulness practice would be to identify your core genius.

So what about you? What is your core genius? What is it that only you can do? What is it that you can pass along for someone else to do?

“Deciding what not to do
is as important as deciding
what to do.”
