24-005 Alertness

”the state of being ready to see, understand, and act in a particular situation”

Today’s MotD is about being alert to the signs and signals from our intuition, our bodies, our dreams, and/or from our team of guides and angels…especially of we asked for help or guidance with some issue or question we have. The answers are there for us if we’re to ready to receive them.

In my case for instance, when pennies appear, I know it’s my dad. When dimes appear, it’s my mom. When quarters appear, it’s my dad’s sister Irene. With nickels, they’re from my artist mentor, Dorothea (who didn’t “believe in any of this shit” —her words 😁).

I use my body to sense guidance. For instance when I hear, say, see, or do something and it gives me goosey-bumps, I know it’s significant…that there’s some form of truth in what just happened.

I also learned how to use my body as a pendulum for guidance. Once my body showed me what a “yes” and a “no” looked like, I could then use it for guidance on anything…be it for what to eat or insight on a heavy decision. If you’d like I could do a video on how to do it.

For my intuition, I tend to “hear” it…it usually is said like a command: call your doctor, stop at this store, go for a walk, and so on. I distinguish it from my “ego” voice which tends to be a statement starting with “I”: I should go to the store, I need to do the laundry, I have to go to a meeting. Notice the difference?

But in order for any of this to be of use to me, I need to be alert and present to notice and receive it.

How about you? Do you value alertness?

btw…here’s what this looked like before I drew on it:

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
