24-014 Extraordinary Experiences

“a meaningful moment you can’t really explain”

I love having extraordinary experiences…for me they take on many sizes and shapes. Usually these moments take my breath away like the first time I saw Mt. Shasta, or finding three dimes under one of my mom’s lamp while clearing out their house of 70 years (the spirit of my mom shows up for me as dimes), and probably one of the best ones was spending 10 days in Egypt…each day was an extraordinary experience.

Today’s MotD encourages us to expect extraordinary experiences, what I would call miracles.

Just last week I experienced a lovely miracle. Two weeks ago my doctor discovered a basal cell carcinoma near my ear. My challenge was to keep myself calm about it. Thursday I went to have him remove it. I told him that some puss had come out of it earlier that day to which he said “carcinomas” don’t do that. Upon opening it he found that it was in fact an infected sebaceous cyst — to the delight of both of us. He took care of it in less than 15 minutes.

How about you? Is having extraordinary experiences a core value for you?

btw…here’s what it looked like before:

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
