24-126 Time

Time

“the measured period during which an action, process, or condition exists or continues”

In “A Course in Miracles” it states: “Time is an illusion”. Einstein stated: “Time is relative”. It’s also considered the fourth dimension (on The Google…it seems to be up for debate). In actuality we have no idea what time is. Just ask a kid in September how long it is until Christmas…they’ll think it’s too far away. Ask the kid’s parents and they’ll say it’s coming way too fast. Compare five minutes in a dentist chair versus five minutes hanging out with your best friends. Compare five minutes on hold with customer service versus five minutes of doing your favorite hobby. “Time flies when you’re having fun”. In essence:  the rate at which time passes depends on your frame of reference.

Also, the construct of time as we know it is earth-based. Long ago some people noticed the earth’s and sun’s patterns and established ways to measure it and structure it. It boggles my mind when watching a sci-fi program, where they’re deep in space and they’re talking in earth-based time not out-in-space time. Just in our solar system alone, the length of a day on Mercury is going to be different than on Jupiter.

On another tangent…with some of the readings I do, sometimes the person being read is offered insight into their life that seems as if it would take a lot of “time”. To which I say, what my Team of Guides and Angels often say to me: “You have all the time you need, to do all that you need to do, even if it takes a couple of lifetimes to do it.” It certainly takes some of the pressure off the table.

I could go on and on about the many aspects about time…but I don’t have time for that today. (see what I did there???)

Ultimately, time is what you make of it. Do you value it or waste it?

How about you? Is time a core value for you?

BTW…here’s what it looked like to begin with …

About the 2024 Mandalas of the Day

Each day I will create and post a mandala inspired by one of 366 “value” words chosen randomly. The objective being to discover for myself which ones would best represent my core values…and by doing so, I hope it inspires you to determine your own.
