thoroughness

“seeing something through with meticulous care”

As someone with Virgo rising (google it), I tend to be detailed-oriented. I will tweak and make adjustments to things down to the millimeter…knowing full-well that most people won’t even notice…even if I point it out to them.

Our challenge (or at least MY challenge) becomes differentiating between thoroughness and obsessing about perfection…which as we all (should) know is impossible to achieve because whose idea of perfection is the perfect one? Yours? Mine? Some Spirit in the Sky? …cue Norman Greenbaum (again, google it).

Our other challenge (or at least MY challenge) becomes differentiating between thoroughness and good enough. Does whatever I’m doing require thoroughness (brain surgery, rocket science, bomb diffusion, etc) or does “good enough” get the job done?

”Thoroughness” is one of those subjective terms that requires us to be present with the situation to more accurately determine the level of thoroughness that the situation requires.
