Time For New Goals

Our focus this week — July 9–15: “Goals, Hopes, and Dreams”

Today’s MotD: Time For New Goals. Today we’re encouraged to CONSIDER establishing new goals…especially if 1) we’re stalled out on our current ones, 2) we don’t even have any goals right now, or 3) we’ve already achieved our goals and now faced with “what now?”

Let’s take these three viewpoints one at a time. If we’ve stalled out on our goals maybe it’s time to re-evaluate them. Has our motivation changed ? Do they no longer apply ? Or maybe the goals are fine, but the strategy for achieving them needs to be changed.

If we don’t have any goals maybe it’s time to evaluate our life without any goals. Is that working for us ? Is going with the flow on a day-to-day basis fulfilling or does it leave us feeling like we’re wandering aimlessly ? Or maybe by not having any goals, we keep ourselves from feeling overwhelmed or pressured by other people’s standards.

If we’ve achieved a goal(s) and are basking in the glow of achievement or we’re stuck in “what now? “ limbo, maybe it’s time to evaluate our life and possibly take it in a whole new direction. What’s something new we can do now ?

Regardless of where we are, we’re being reminded that now is as good a time as any for us to take a moment to examine our life from the perspective of our goals, hopes, and dreams. Are we happy with them ? Do we need to alter them ? Or do we need to shift into something new ?

How about you ? What’s the status of your goals, hopes, and dreams ? Do you have any ? Are you stalled out on any of them ? What’s keeping you from moving forward ? Is it time to come up with some new goals ?

ABOUT THE 2025 Mandalas of the Day

Throughout the year, I’ll be building one large (48”x48”) Tibetan-styled Mandala one piece at a time…one puzzle piece at a time, that is. The mandala design and the reversed puzzle side were printed on artist-quality watercolor paper. The forward facing puzzle side was printed on a 48”x48” wood panel.

Each day, at random, I’ll be painting in watercolors one of the 365 watercolor puzzle pieces, that by the end of the year will become Archangel Mandala #4. Read more about the Archangel Series. The word/message for each piece will be inspired by Melody Beattie’s book “52 Weeks of Conscious Contact”.

Ultimately, the message of this mandala is about how we are all uniquely part of the one.
