Lesson 075: ”The light has come.”
AI Reframe: I am ready to see things differently now.
Suggested Exercise:
For the longer sessions, look at the world your forgiveness* shows you and how this is all you want to see. Start the practice by telling yourself:
The light has come.
I have forgiven the world.
Keep an open mind, “washed of all past ideas and clean of every concept you have made. You have forgiven the world today. You can look upon it now as if you never saw it before. You do not know yet what it looks like You merely wait to have it shown to you. While you wait, repeat several times, slowly and in complete patience:”
The light has come.
I have forgiven the world.
For the shorter practice periods, remind yourself every 15 minutes that today is a time for special celebration. Rejoice in the power of forgiveness to heal your sight completely. Repeat today’s idea:
The light has come.
I have forgiven the world.
If anyone seems to pull you into a grievance, say to yourself with them in mind:
The light has come.
I have forgiven you.

Today’s lesson marks the beginning of our vision and the sight of the real world—here to replace the unforgiven world we thought was real.
My first thought—courtesy of Earnest, my ego-mind—was: “Where is this light? Oh no. I must not have done the previous lessons right. I must not be ready.” Then I kept reading, and found this in the instructions for the longer practice periods:
“You do not know yet what it looks like. You merely wait to have it shown to you.” (ACIM, W-75.6:5–6)
Ah. So I just need to do the practice.
What came to me was more of a montage. I saw myself lighter and brighter—doing more of what I love without anything holding me back. Making coloring tutorials and reading videos. Selling my art and painted stones with excitement. Giving readings to groups and individuals. Creating even more intricate mandalas and traveling the world with them, meeting people from all kinds of backgrounds and cultures. It was almost too much to take in during one session.
Most importantly, it showed me that none of this requires anything outside of me to change. It all originates in me.
Looking back at my initial reaction, I now see how the previous lessons were carefully building toward this one. We learned:
- We are the light of the world.
- As light, our function is to forgive.*
- The light brings peace to every mind.
- Our grievances hide our light.
- I will there be light.
And now: the light has come.
It’s like waiting for a special guest to arrive. They’ve just pulled into the driveway and are getting out of the car. Now we can open the door and welcome them in.
* Forgiveness is the choice to see past hurtful behavior—our own or another’s—and recognize the light behind it.
“I celebrate the beginning of true vision, a happy vision, a vision that replaces the other world I created by believing it was real.
