My artist friend, Kris Mitchell, creates amazing almost-mystical landscape paintings in watercolors, color pencils, and mixed media. She also loves to photograph flowers and post them on facebook.
Atlanta, GA photographer and digital artist, Jane Queen, created this stunning and captivating piece of modern-retro photographic art. It stopped me in my tracks when I first spotted it. The more I look at it, the more I see in it and the more I feel pulled into it.
Kathy Klein creates beautiful danmalas (the giving of flower circles) using a variety of flower blossoms. In this case, she used orchid petals and mum flowers.
The striking contrast between the deep maroons/purples of the orchids and the white mums makes this danmala really pop against the wood background. The dash of yellow warms it up.
I love roses and this one’s a beaut! It’s called a about Mardi Gras Rose. I love the vibrant, rich colors of this rose. You just know this one smells delicious!
