French photographer, sculptor and land artist, Alain Bernegger, created this amazing mandala stone sculpture, “Arc Passage”, in 2008. It boggles my mind as to how he kept it all together while forming the upper arc.
The circle alone would make this an interesting piece; however the addition of the delicately built tower within the circle gives it a beautiful balance of strength and vulnerability.
About his art he states on his facebook page:
“I create my works and photography by being in contact with nature in the present moment. The pictures do not undergo any processing or computer trickery.”
I discovered Alain when someone I know shared this delightful image from Alain’s page. I knew I had to check out this guy’s art.

Next time I go out in nature, I plan to build some kind of creative sculpture using materials I find around me. And until I can figure out how to build that arc, I’ll start with something simple and fun that easily stays in place. 🙂
Happy Coloring!
