Today we go under the sea for today’s MotD. Zoologist and also Sr. Editor for NotCot.org, Justine Aw photographed these white spotted jellyfish (phyllorhiza punctata) at the Steinhart Aquarium at the California Academy of Sciences in San Francisco, California.

I could go into all the science-y stuff about these creatures and how they are considered an invasive species and what not; however, I prefer to just enjoy their beauty, symmetry and graceful movement through water.

Check out more of Justine’s jellyfish photos from her 2012 post at www.notcot.com/archives/2012/02/white-spotted-jellyfish-at-the.php

Happy Coloring!
