British photographer, Florence Bennett, captured this fantastic shot of a chameleon as it very slowly headed towards a heat lamp. I love how its whole body displays itself in cool colors of greens and teals and yet his eye radiates with the warm golden color of the lamp. What an intriguing creature!
Along with its eye area and eyeball being mandalas, the chameleon’s skin is jam-packed with little orbs of texture…like pixels on a computer screen. It also reminds me of the Aborigine style of painting where they use only dots of color to create their amazing works of art.
Have you tried coloring with just dots (stippling)? It can be quite an intriguing effect.
If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
