Katy LaReau's Garden Art
Katy LaReau’s Garden Art

Glass and Metal artist, Katy LaReau, created these delightfully whimsical garden art pieces that I had the pleasure of seeing in person yesterday at the annual Corvallis Fall Festival in Corvallis, Oregon. If you’re ever in Oregon towards the end of September, I highly recommend visiting this wonderful art and music festival.

On her etsy shop site, she states:

My favorite possessions as a child were a fresh pack of markers or new box of crayons. I would always be busy coloring, sewing, knitting, and woodworking. As a young adult I stumbled upon the craft of glass fusing. I guess it fit because I have been at it ever since. My work is about color and is often described as whimsical, quirky and fun.

Her pieces are definitely fun and they made me stop and smile as I stood in front of her art.

What art makes you smile?

Happy Coloring!

If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
