Suspended from the large dome in the lobby of London’s Corinthia Hotel floats this stunning crystal chandelier entitled “Full Moon”. Just gorgeous. While the chandelier itself is a mandala, each of the crystal baubles are mandalas…as is the spectacular dome.
In an article posted on TravelSkills.com, Chris McGinnis states this about the hotel’s lobby:
But it’s the big, bright, and buzzy lobby that really wowed me. In the center of the space is a soaring dome adorned with a giant, two-ton, globe-shaped Baccarat crystal chandelier composed of 1,001 grapefruit-sized crystal baubles—each illuminated from within with a tiny white LED light. Even if you don’t stay at the hotel, it’s worth walking through the lobby just to see this gorgeous work.

From the Corinthia Hotel web site they state:
The spectacular glass dome is adorned with the Full Moon chandelier created by Parisian designer Chafik Gasmi and produced by Baccarat, the prestigious French crystal manufacturer. Echoed in a circular motif in the limestone floor, the Full Moon is the grand focal point of the main hotel area.
I would love to someday have a crystal bauble chandelier in my house, one that I would set in front of a window that receives a lot of sun (yes we get sunshine in Oregon). Actually I have one crystal bauble each in front of three of my windows. It’s a start.
Happy Coloring!
