315 – Temporal Mandala

Temporal Labyrinth
Temporal Labyrinth

Looking at this photo makes my heart sing! I can feel it coming from the earth, the leaves and the tree. Laura Foster Nicholson‘s husband spent two days meditatively raking the leaves into this beautiful labyrinth at the base of this bright sugar maple in the Harmonist Cemetery. How much more powerful is that tree now with the addition of this sweet labyrinth.

From her blog post about this labyrinth she states:

These are temporal works of art, maintained by constant Zen-like raking, beautiful to walk and to gaze up through the boughs of the generous tree-host.

Today’s MotD so beautifully reminds us to play WITH nature rather than work against it.

Happy Coloring!
