Today we can experience this beautiful sand (or rice flour) mandala being made in a more modern way and using a stencil. Watch how in about one minute this man easily and casually puts down these layers of bright colors…some of which had me wondering “how is that going to work?”
Unfortunately I lack any information about this video, the man, or the actual materials used…except to say that I spotted this on Promotion Maroc’s facebook page.
I found it fascinating reading the comments associated with this post. Being that this is temporary (one sneeze and the whole thing is history), some people asked “what do you do with it?” To them I would answer: you can use it for meditation, you can just be present in the beauty of it, or you can wipe the table top clean to create a new one…in other words, do with it as the spirit moves you to do.
Today’s MotD reminds us to create in the spirit of the moment.
