(24 x 20”) Watercolor & Charcoal
I found this gorgeous mandala-like sunflower painting by a wonderful local printmaker/painter and friend, Debby Sundbaum-Sommers, of www.DebsArt.net. As well as painting beautifully warm and inviting watercolor landscapes, she also creates dramatic landscape prints.
About herself and her art she states:
I find that most of my inspiration comes from nature. I enjoy figuring out how to interpret and transfer what I see into the image I want to print or paint. And the whole experience is satisfying to my soul.
You can check out her studio every fall as part of the 2-weekend Philomath Open Studios.
Debby’s painting shows us how we can use lines as a guide and yet experience lovely results by coloring (painting) outside and all around the lines.
I WOULD LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU ABOUT THE MotD 2016…
Answer this 1-question pole about how best to present the Mandala of the Day for 2016. Thanks in advance for your help.
Happy Coloring!
