This week’s MotD theme: Skyscapes
Contemporary artist, Megan Aroon Duncanson, of MADART Studios, created this captivating skyscape in a bold and colorful way. I love the vibrant use of colors and the way she applied different textures throughout the painting as if tapping into the different energies of the landscape. And of course the dreamy mandala-like snowflakes provide an added delight and balance to such a powerful scene.
About her art she states:
I draw my inspiration from nature and everyday subjects around me. Living in one of the most remote places on the planet, the Bush of Alaska, as well as tropical paradise, Hawaii and Florida, has allowed me to use many different aspects in my art to inspire me. It can be trees, boats, birds, vibrant sunsets, water, palm trees, cities, martinis; anything I see around me can be used to it’s fullest extent to draw the viewer into each piece and provide them with an enriching and pleasurable experience. I Iove to paint fun, yet sophisticated paintings that appeal to the child inside of us, but fit into all of our contemporary lifestyle.
See more of her exciting art in her online collections gallery and in her online shop; for prints visit her Fine Art America site.
