This week’s MotD theme: Skyscape
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Skyscape (from Sunday’s MotD post). This mandala asks us to look at the bigger picture, a skyscape if you will, of what we want to create in our lives, what’s “clouding” over us, and creating a relationship with our own GPS (guiding principles system).
In painting this week’s MotW I focused on expressing what I want to create in my life (large multi-color orb in the sky) and how I see my journey along this golden path. Trusting in all my resources (internal and external, of this world and beyond –purple orb– ) to help me along the way.
My life, at times, feels like I’m all over the place. Feeling pulled to do stuff over here…and then feeling pulled to do stuff over there…all with little apparent rhyme or reason.
Looking at it here in this mandala, I can see that it’s all in cosmic order…each “pull” radiating outward as different expressions of who I am and what I want to experience. And that saying about looking for the silver lining in dark clouds? For me I see myself turning those dark clouds into cotton candy…sweet as can be. 🙂
On a side note, part of me cringes at seeing how messily I painted this mandala and I’m a bit embarrassed to post it here. Then the voice in my head reminds me: “that’s life. things do get messy at times…and that’s okay…it’s part of the human condition. it’s about the process instead of the destination.” Well…alright then.
I’m happy to post my colorings however I would really love to share and showcase your colorings here as well. Feel free to send them to me. Or you can post them on my Mandala of the Day Facebook page.
If you would want your mandala or your idea for a mandala to be considered for the “Mandala of the Day”, read about how on the Participate page. It’s easy! Or recommend one you’ve seen via my Contact page.
