Solar Plexus Manipura Chakra Symbol Labyrinth by Folade Speaks

New Week::New Theme: Here Comes the Sun

We open up this week’s theme with a powerful mixed media painting by Folade Speaks: Solar Plexus Labyrinth. I love how she surrounds the Solar Plexus (third) chakra symbol with an angular golden labyrinth. For me, it gives it an Egyptian look and feel to it. The third chakra aligns itself with the fire element and the color yellow, like the sun.

About Folade and her art she states:

My work is centered in spirituality, nature, and energy frequency. As a Reiki practitioner, and with further intent to create work that resonates as healing, I infuse Reiki into each creation. … [My] circular work grew out of an affinity for the ubiquitous circle; dendrochronology (the study of tree rings), labyrinths, crop circles and sun symbols.

About the Third Chakra from The Chopra Center site:

The third chakra is called Manipura, which means “lustrous gem.” Located around the navel in the area of the solar plexus and up to the breastbone, it is a source of personal power and governs self-esteem, warrior energy, and the power of transformation. The Manipura chakra also controls metabolism and digestion.

Inspiration For Today

Folade’s Solar Plexus painting inspires us to connect with our inner fire, our personal power, allowing it to be fully open and clear. When it is out of balance, we lack confidence and motivation. When it is open, it energizes our momentum, giving us the “fuel” (confidence) we need to move forward.

Happy Coloring!
