This week’s MotD theme: Here Comes the Sun

I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: Here Comes the Sun (from Sunday’s MotD post). I followed the direction from the MotW post. For each of the orbs (and I added some more), I looked at my life as if I was the director my life’s play. The “director” gave traits and characteristics that She wanted me to bring out in the role I’m playing, which I wrote into each orb.

A fascinating thing happened when I started painting the orbs. I decided to blindly grab a color as I looked at the orb/trait I was about to paint. It surprised me that some of the orb colors I chose were ones I rarely or consciously choose (blacks and browns). At first I was disappointed and yet when I look at all of the orbs together, it all seems to work surprisingly well.

Inspiration for Today

Today’s MotD inspires us to be more accepting of our “traits” as they are without judgment or condemnation. It’s about loving our Whole selves just as we are in this moment AND AT THE SAME TIME knowing that we can consciously choose to improve upon any one of them…like a director giving an actor some added nuance to help them better portray their character.

I’m happy to post my colorings however I would really love to share and showcase your colorings here as well. Feel free to send them to me. Or you can post them on my Mandala of the Day Facebook page.

Happy Coloring!
