This week’s MotD theme: Blue
Originally from Baku, New York artist Zarema Mamedova, created this spectacular modern metallic blue painting, jam-packed with lots of concentric circles filling the whole canvas with beautiful overlapping mandalas. I love how she took a very simple shape, the circle, and by using a bold color and some dimensional texture turned it into something magnificent.
About her art, she states:
While I am painting I feel a sense of nostalgia and picture my childhood dreams. My definition of painting has evolved over time and I can admit that it is no longer paint on a canvas. It is superior to say that it is my emotions, feelings, and expressions portrayed through the fibers of a canvas. From the little details such as the precious mixture of warm and cool colors to the overall meaning of my creation; it all holds a place in my passion for painting.
View more of her powerful metallic art via her online M.A. gallery as well as her vibrant abstract paintings. She also sells her amazing art and prints via her Etsy shop.
