This week’s MotD theme: Ring of Fire
From IBTimes and India’s 68th Independence Day celebrations in 2014, a Jammu and Kashmir Policeman jumps through a ring of fire in Srinagar. Look at the intensity of that flame and the concentration of the rider. Aside from the obvious, can you spot all the mandala shapes in this photo?
About their holiday as stated on wikipedia:
The holiday is observed throughout India with flag-hoisting ceremonies, parades and cultural events. Indians celebrate the day by displaying the national flag on their attire, accessories and homes; by listening to patriotic songs, watching patriotic movies; and bonding with family and friends. Books and films feature the independence and partition in their narrative.
Sounds a lot like how we celebrate our Independence Day here in America.
Inspiration for Today
Regardless of our outside differences, today’s MotD reminds us that on the inside we are all the same.
Happy Coloring!
