This week’s MotD theme: A Maze Zing Journey
I present my coloring/painting of this week’s Mandala of the Week: A Maze Zing Journey (from Sunday’s MotD post). I randomly chose colors as I proceeded to paint this week’s MotW. By being in color now, it becomes a bit more obvious to locate the inaccessible areas, the dead ends, and the three complete paths that enter and exit (I noted these with dots).
It fascinates me that the longest entrance/exit path also includes six side paths (noted with different color dots). Since I just drew this without any preconceived idea except that I wanted to draw a maze, I’m intrigued by how my subconscious and/or Higher Self brought this somewhat convoluted path to light…a Mr. Toad’s wild ride, if you will.
Inspiration for Today
Like some video quest games, in life we traverse and experience side paths along the way, taking us off our main course. On these paths we find and add golden nuggets (tools/insights) to our life’s tool box, often times without knowing how to use them or when to use them or why we have them there in the first place.
While it may seem like these side trips act like distractions or moving backwards, in reality they actually help us move forward because these golden nuggets fill in the future gaps that would otherwise be left empty. In some cases it may take years to fully realize their purpose, and yet we’ll know it when it happens…saying to ourselves “Ah…now I get it!”
Happy Coloring!
