2017-062: Adrian Rasmussen Mandala

Laser Cut Sacred Mandala by Technician of the Sacred
Laser Cut Sacred Geometry Mandala by Technician of the Sacred

This Week’s Theme: Instagram

This week I’m showcasing 5 of the many wonderful artisans I’m following on Instagram. I will definitely need to do this theme again and again.

Santa Cruz, California artist, Adrian Rasmussen, of Technician of the Sacred, creates stunning multidimensional laser cut wooden sacred geometry art. This one for me is particularly extraordinary. I love the colors and geometry of this intricate design which starts in the center pointing outward to the rounded “petals” and then balanced out with the simpler-designed pointed “petals”.

About Adrian and his art:

I make art to inspire creativity, instill beauty, and heighten awareness!
Until recently using invisible laser light to create art would be something found only in science fiction. Though many are using this light in the creation of crafts, art is something only beginning to be explored. Excited about discovering unique ways to balance technology with traditional mediums; [I] created the Technician of the Sacred.

Check out more of his awesome mandalas via is Instagram account (@TechnicianoftheSacred) or his website gallery.

Inspiration for Today

“The harmony of the world is made manifest in Form and Number, and the heart and soul and all the poetry of Natural Philosophy are embodied in the concept of mathematical beauty.”  ~ D’Arcy Wentworth Thompson

Happy Coloring!
