This Week’s Theme: Kites
Look at the SIZE of this kite! And the colors! And of course the shape…you can’t get more mandala-like than that!
Oregon photographer and artist, Wendy McKennon, of Wendy Originals, captured this colorful, geometric patterned kite while on the Oregon Coast one day. That’s right! Along with having a gorgeous coast line, Oregon’s beaches make for the best sites for flying kites.
About this kite photo by Wendy:
While I was at the Lincoln City Kite Festival in Lincoln City, Oregon, I noticed waaay down the beach this wonderful, colorful round kite flying! So I zoomed in and got this shot. This kite was really big and the wind was very strong that day!!!
About Wendy:
Living directly in front of the famous ‘Haystack Rock & the Needles’ is where I was truly inspired in all my artistic adventures as a ‘home-grown’ artist! And of course my logo design! … I enjoy working with just about every art medium possible, including photography in which I combine with my artwork. I also make dollhouse scale or even tinier miniatures. But I have finally found an art medium that incorporates all my favorites; sculpture, painting, 3D properties, texture, mixed-media, and my beloved miniatures.
