My painting progress for today:

1 – add lt green highlights to bubbles
2 – outline the bubbles in black
3 – enlarge green bubble in the center of the “flower”
4 – add iridescent pearl highlights to green bubbles & blue “drops”
5 – add bronze “tadpoles” to background

Abstract Mandala #2 – Marigold with Blue

Update #2

With this update, I added highlights and more definition to the green bubbles, enhanced the “flower” center, and added bronzy “tadpoles” to the background- at least, that’s what they look like to me. I’ll be adding more definition to them soon.

For me the addition of the “tadpoles” seems to ramp up the energy levels of this piece.  They reminds us we can access this infinitesimal well of new ideas and new thoughts at any time without it ever running dry.

So just go for it. When a new idea or thought sparks our interest, makes our hearts skip a bit, or sends tingles through our bodies, follow its lead! The possibilities are endless!
