Mandala Meditation Stone: Remarkable

I started “Remarkable” today with the gold background and the back side already completed from another day. As I painted this, I allowed myself to be guided by the stone as to how it wanted to be painted.

Adding the grid lines (step 6) pushed my comfort zone a bit. With a deep breath I proceeded to draw them out. As soon as I added the first grid color, I LOVED it and felt energized to charge forward. The rest just fell into place.

“Remarkable” inspires us to embrace what remarkable beings we are. Capable of achieving great wonders from the mundane to the spectacular, we choose from moment to moment how to make that happen.

While I finished painting it, it still needs multiple coats of artist quality gloss finish which will really make the colors pop and shine. Once I have a batch of stones painted, I’ll varnish them all at the same time.

btw…when coloring the grid, I chose my colors intuitively. By that I mean, I looked at the grid section I wanted to paint next. Then, without looking, I reached into my gel pen collection and pulled out its color…without judgement or questioning the choice. Coloring this way is a great way to get my head out of the way of my color choices. And it always comes out looking great, and most times better than I expected.
