In 2012 I created a hyperbolic tessellation mandala for each of the zodiac signs. I started coloring the Aries one a few years ago and got as far as what you see in Image #1. Today I felt inspired to give it another chance. It’s also this week’s Mandala of the Week. Throughout the remaining 19 weeks of 2017, I’ll finish coloring all of them! …at least that’s the plan. 🙂
I’m using copic markers to color them with gel pens for highlights. Thankfully when I first started coloring this one, I noted which markers I used which made it much easier to get back into it. In case you’re interested I used these green markers: G12, G43, G09, and YG67
Read about the “Sign of Aries” as this week’s Mandala of the Week.
About the Mandalas of the Day:
I post a variety of in-progress art for that day which can include mandalas from the Mandala of the Week, the Mandala of the Month, the Mandala of the Year, or the Mandala Meditation Stones.
Happy Coloring!
joyfully, Maureen

My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
