Today I started on the second sign of the Astrological Wheel: Taurus – The Bull.
My coloring progress for today:

1 – we start with the outline
2 – start adding some spring green in the background
3 – finished coloring the green background
4 – start adding a warmer green to the “flower-like” backgrounds

In 2012 I created a hyperbolic tessellation mandala for each of the zodiac signs. For Taurus, its symbol is a bit challenging to spot since it’s part of two different patterns. I like the 1960’s psychedelic vibe of this mandala design. We’ll see if it goes that route.
While setting up to color, I could see a bright spring green for the background and then a warmer green for the background within the “flower-like” groupings.
It makes sense to use the green since a bull is happiest out in a beautiful green field peacefully enjoying its surroundings.
Read about the “Sign of Taurus” as this week’s Mandala of the Week.

My Mission: connecting with our Inner Light in delightful, inspiring ways
For me, creating mandalas is more than just coloring pretty patterns in a circle. I do it because my spiritual evolution and creativity require it of me. My mandala designs come about within an active meditative state, connected with my higher self, my spiritual guides and nature spirits.
Together, we bring into form, mandala art the allows me to re-connect with my own inner peace and joy, letting me explore and expand my own creative spirit to however far and in whatever direction I want to take it.
As part of my own spiritual journey, I encourage, and hopefully inspire, others to explore their own creativity, to help them re-connect with their own inner peace and joy. As a means to that end, I make all of my mandalas available for people to color. Why should I have all the fun?
